I dont use titewad powder, but use the Clay Buster 7/8 oz (silver colored) wad in rem hulls. Just load for 1200 fps or a tad less. If you can add weight (to further soften recoil) that would be a plus. Years ago, had a buddy who filled any cavities under the recoil pad with shot to add weight.

I have reloaded 7/8 and 9/8 loads and they work fine with same components and powders, but I favor the 1 oz, 8’s, 7-1/2 or duplex loads, 50/50 mix. I have also found E3 and Promo excellent powders when I could not get my favorite Hodgdon powders.

Needed a #354 powder bushing to drop 16.1 in my 366 and my cycle stroke. I estimate the VMD (CC per grain) for PP is about 0.096 (closer to TG density). So, although Hodgdon has almost exactly the same load data for TiteWad and Perfect Pattern in 1 ounce target loads I checked, the density seems quite a bit denser than TW is.Blue Dot is the number one high velocity heavy load champ for 1-1/8 and 1-1/4 oz 16 gauge loads. But when the shot load drops to 1oz or lighter, particularly 3/4oz, I really like Extra Lite. 3/4oz loads fire cleanly in cold or hot weather - no bloopers. It's my goto powder for reduced loads. Because we're here lad.

Trap commander wads fit well in a Federal hull with 1 - 20ga card (all 1/8") then a 16 ga card but they were not the most accurate from smoothbore but ok from rifled gun. Your option is to load some up with, say, 17.5 gr and the SP12, and send them in for testing and see what you get.
