The P320 platform may be superior based on its military pedigree. Both the P320 X-Compact and the P365 XL, X-Macro, et cetera have the almost identical slide length with exception to the beavertails. The P365 platform OEM has a maximum capacity of seventeen rounds, whereas the P320 platform OEM has a maximum of thirty.I have both an X-Macro Comp and a P365XL. I shoot both equally well and do not feel the comp makes a huge difference. That may be unpopular but that's my personal experience. If I had it to do all over again, I'd probably buy the X-Macro Tacops or the X-Macro without the comp. The Tacops was announced a week after I bought the X-Macro Comp. The P365 X-MACRO has a longer slide, barrel, and expanded grip module, which provides more space and better handling, whereas the P365 XL has a more compact construction. Both guns are excellent choices for concealed carry and personal protection, and the final decision is based on personal taste and intended use.

I compare guns back to back quite often. I compared the P365 X Macro comp and the P365 X Macro TacOps back to back recently, as well as the P365 X Macro comp and the Shield Plus. I found from those comparisons the comp does seem to affect the felt recoil, at least a bit and that I preferred the X Macro comp over my Shield Plus.
