Jan 13, 2021 · The distance between Ember and units that should be affected by Fire Blast has 0 influence on this bug. You could cast it right in front of an enemy and somehow "miss". The way enemy units are positioned also doesn't change anything, as sometimes Fire Blast will hit most of the enemies in the back while "missing" enemies directly in front of you. Blast is pretty much a useless combo element… widely considered the worst one in the game. Its damage multipliers are very unfavorable, and its status effect (supposedly reducing enemy accuracy) has zero actual in-game impact. The best elemental combo depends on what you’re doing.
