My girlfriend has had issues with her 2016 Ford focus hatchback. When using original key with a new battery. (Is not a push start) She inserts the key into ignition when turning to the on position the car reads no key detected. This is a very frustrating moment be it the key is in the ignition.

For anybody faced with the 'key fob not detected' problem all you have to do is use the sliding key in the fob. Remove the plastic cover to the ignition and insert the key.
