As a professional mechanic (mostly working on MD/HD trucks and buses), I am perpetually driven insane by manufacturers that make fuse panel layouts an indecipherable mess, especially since it's literally one of the first steps I take when troubleshooting any electrical issue.

Well, we took the Tiguan to our local VW dealership, who diagnosed it as either an accellerator pedal issue or the wiring for the throttle body. They said that 9/10 times it is the wiring, so they re-pinned the connector at the throttle body to the tune of $500.00 (diagnostic+parts+labor). Just checking in here with the same issue. This will be my third Tiguan with EPC light issues. Two 1st gens and one 2nd. I now have the rosstech software and have pulled codes the two times this has happened on my current 2018.
