H335 isn’t working out too well and as I understand can be temperature sensitive. I use the rifle in Montana where we have significant temperature extremes.

First, just a mention on your ss109... Check your range you want to shoot em at, a lot of ranges ban penetrator or steel jacketed bullets. And it will damage steel targets. I've been researching reloading data and wondering the same thing so emailed Hogdon about using CFE223 in 6.5 Grendel. Response stated they didn't have any data and suggested using H335, Hodgdon H322, IMR 4198, or IMR 8208 XBR.

Jan 11, 2018. #2. I have not loaded CFE 223 with the GMX nor the Barnes bullets, but have loaded it with the flat base and the 150-gr FMJ boat tail Hornady bullets. The Hodgdon data for these bullets is 44.0 to 49.0 grains. I have not played much, but found accurate loads at 46.5 grains. It is close to BL (C2), a little slower than Varget, maybe.Subscribe. 2554.
