Now when the car is stationary or on a signal, the needle goes one point above the half and comes back to half (automatically). It seems the fan brings it down.Make sure the car had cooled down. I think the radiator cap is located under a shroud carefully open the cap. Start the car with the cap off and give it some time to get up to temp. When the thermostat opens up you should see the coolant level drop.
