Absolutely not. There are much better breakthrough technologies that have more uses and benefits. Any of the improved energy techs is like x20 better than any 2.0 weapon tech. If there were a tier list of breakthrough techs -- weapons 2.0 would be D or C tier. F tier is meat printing :p.Make it quite long (big) so mobs requires time to get around.
