Most would agree the 4" just feel better do to a better balance. All other things being equal the 6" will have better potential accuracy due to the longer sight radius. The criteria you gave was for best accuracy, but a short barrel Security Six is a strange choice for a target revolver. Also the .38spl and .357 magnum are very different in terms of power. The 158gr bullets that shoot great at .38spl velocities may have too much recoil to be comfortable at magnum speeds.
