Either way, you are paying for market data. I suppose similar to the way that Samsung or Apple make phones, but the don't work without a carrier connection, which have separate contracts and fees.

As of July 15th, 2014, NinjaTrader can no longer offer new license keys to trade with generic Rithmic. In order to use NinjaTrader with generic Rithmic, you would need to have a live license key prior to that date.
