Major downfall is the planter is heavy. Wasn't too bad to switch from corn to beans, not the easiest to work on split rows but it is possible. Our john deere units have been pretty much trouble free. My guess is something wrong is Valve Block on the planter that is not letting the CCS circuit return its oil free without restriction back to the tractor. Even most Deere people will admit that. Case IH 1200 and 1250 space better from the factory than the ESet precision BS that costs a fortune and the Case IH row unit is far better. What amazes me is the Deere planters are so bad from the factory you have to change out parts and spend a bunch of money right after you buy a brand new machine.Have a new to me JD 1760 12 row planter with the factory ground drive. So far when planting soybeans it seems the actual population is lower than the rate chart says it should be. I set for what the chart says should be 118k and the 250 monitor and my actual counts give me around 110k.
