6/9/2023; I bought this modem to replace an older CL modem that didn't have great Wi-Fi range. This modem works great. Except that every 2–7 days at any random time the modem automatically resets itself to the default factory settings. Typical that it took us longer than 30 days to figure out it was our faulty "brand new" modem. Wait 30 seconds to 1 minute. Be patient! Wait a minimum of 30 seconds to allow the modem memory to fully clear. Plug the power cord back in and wait for the power light and internet light to turn green (or the C4000 single status light). It can take 3-5 minutes to fully boot back up. Green light on the C4000 modem shows internet connection.
