The main problem is not Steam Deck's lack of power. The Switch is specifically constructed. The very details in the Firmware, OS etc the Switch use, are closed source. So, it is very hard to make a perfect emulator. So, even with the best Computer Hadrware, there are possibilities, that some Switch games will lag.

Yuzu has a flatpak that's available directly to the from the "app store" that comes default with the flavor of Linux they're using. So it's literally just search and click install. I belive it also got an update specifically for the steam deck recently.

Sjknight413. You are vastly overestimating the power of the deck, you're comparing a low power APU to a 2070 which is a very powerful dedicated GPU. Capping to 30fps is the way to do it, but you should be very impressed a stable 30fps is possible considering you're emulating it. Not really. Gyros are possible using Cemu on Deck. More difficult if you want to use an external controller, but still doable. For Deck gyros, install SteamDeckGyroDSU from GitHub.
