Public Appearances 1988-1990: This was the second Barney costume built. This costume is similar in design to the Barney doll but with a darker hue. This costume was designed and built by Phyllis Harris, a friend of Jamie Ruth Conner (who no longer worked at The Lyons Group at that time), on behalf of Harris Costumes, after the first three Barney & The Backyard Gang videos were filmed.
