My son recently picked up a 1964 bug and we are servicing the brakes after noticing one of the brake cylinders was leaking. While we are at it we are replacing the bearings, races and seals. You dont need 3 coats of clear on the inside and bottom sides of your panels if your using a high solid clear. 3 on the outside is great.

Disconnect the black/green and black/white wires that go to the lights on the front fenders from the switch. Touching the black/green/white wire from the fuse box to the wires going to the lights should cause that side to light, front only. Now do the same with the rear, black/yellow (left) & black/red (right).
