The game has many different survival mechanics ranging from a deep extensive crafting system, to a fully functioning health mechanic system with limb damage and sickness. Whilst playing the game you may come across the Queasy moodle.
The zombie infection is different and doesn’t require a wound to become infected. It uses the same moodlet so it’s hard to tell if it is that or a wound infection if you get both. #1. If you do not use clean bandages, and keep the bite clean, you might get a normal infection. Then you need to find antibiotics in the game, which can help with the normal infections. If you do not want to restart, there is a mod that let you change the sandbox setting (assuming you play sandbox). Otherwise there is a few "cheat" mod, or simply add -debug to the game launch option (steam), and heal yourself. Typing sandbox or cheat in teh workshop research will let you find them easily. indeed, there is a setting for "saliva + blood" (default), "saliva only" (only bites infect you), "everyone's infected" (you zombify no matter what actually killed you, not sure if bite and scratches still give you the fever), and "none" (you can never get the knox infection and never zombifiy, can still die to bloodloss and dragdown tho)ik u can use -debug launch option to get commands/cheats, is there any way to save my character from the bite. Short Answer: Yes. Long Answer: Well depending upon where the bite is the injury itself won't kill you. Might be a inconvenience if it's on the chest for example while it will kill you very quickly if it happened on the Neck. It's the infection that will get ya in the end however.

If not, does a bite still make you turn? I tried googling, but I couldn't find a clear answer. Bites always make you infected, depending on settings you have about a week before you are ultra dead, however scratches, lacerations, and anything else a zombie inflicted, *can* still kill you via infection, but carry a much lower chance too, iirc, bites …If you have weak stomach, even not rotten food can make you sick. And hypochondriac can make you sick and die for no reason. You're not giving much info to help with the reason, since there are so many reasons to die in the game. Svarog. It is, you have about 10% of not getting infected from a bite. 9 times out of 10 it is lethal. I survived a bite maybe twice. One way to tell if you've got infected (Not Sure if it still works) is that if you get infected with zombie virus and check the health panel, your health status will never reach OK.
