After the merger, they consolidated their tractor lines to 5, from Holt, the 2 Ton, 5 Ton, and 10 Ton and from Best, the Caterpillar 30 and Caterpillar 60.The tractor pull in August is split over two nights on the grounds during the Nowthen Threshing Show. Friday night starts with the lower weights and we work up through the two nights. There are also some unique demo pulls during the pull that usually include a Steam Tractor which will emit sparks in the night sky. The tractor pulls are included ...It has been moved to the Nowthen Threshing Show grounds in Nowthen, Minnesota where it joins other historical buildings such as a Red Crown Gas station, a log outhouse, an old white church, general store, and a log barn. The school is a generous donation from the Russell Howe family of Big Lake to the Nowthen Historical Power Association.

The Nowthen Threshing Show is a three day event that takes place annually on the third full weekend (Friday through Sunday) in August. Guests can watch history happen by watching corn chopping, blacksmithing, grain threshing, and sawmill demonstrations, or experience historic culture by wandering through the old restored school, church, log buildings, and train depot on the grounds. Gas Station. At the west end of Main Street on the Nowthen Threshing Show Grounds proudly stands a 1920s cottage style gas station. This station was saved from a bulldozer in a joint effort by NHPA and the city of Milaca, and restored here in time for the August 2005 Threshing Show. The roots of International Harvester run to the 1830s, when Cyrus Hall McCormick, an inventor from Virginia, finalized his version of a horse-drawn reaper, which he field-demonstrated throughout 1831, and for which he received a patent in 1834.In April and May of 2000, several members of NHPA took on a project of retrieving a 16 horse power 1916 Avery steam engine from the Republican River near the town of Scandia, Kansas.The depot was acquired by the Nowthen Historical Power Association in the fall of 2001, and was moved to a temporary site at the Nowthen Threshing Show grounds on November 23, 2001. The depot was then moved to its permanent location along the railroad tracks on June 29, 2002.
