Jay I presently have a set of the Dove Glidden heads,right now back at the Dove plant being evaluated,after $1100.00 of port work,not including 2.15 and 1.65 tiinium vales.I had these heads flowed on two benches,and barely make 200 at .700 lift exhaust,and 380 intake.D1VE AA block ? I might buy a engine that has D1VE AA block to use to build a stoker engine. Is this a good block to use for that and is this block a 429 or 460 block and does it have thick cylinder walls for boring far over. The engine now has D3VE heads and is probably in the range of 7.5:1--8.0:1 compression. I figure losing almost 20cc in the combustion chamber should maybe bump compression into the 9.0:1+ range. Any thoughts?

Some bolt on aftermarket heads that are essentially ready to go, may not seem like so much money after all. A typical stock 351 intake port (C9 and DO) with a typical valve job maxes out around 180 cfm (28"). the exhaust around 120 cfm or so.
