Go with this option if you want longer battles- wars of attrition. Mage, the most improved class overall. In vanilla, it was quite defensive. Here, it can hold its own as one of the best classes in Calamity. It makes you feel like a badass, high DPS, fun to play as. Summoner, arguably the most different class in the entirety of Calamity. Summoner is probably the most difficult class with their low defence, but on the flip side it has the highest dps out of all classes (at least from my experience) which imo is more optimal in rev/death as most bosses deal so much damage that a few extra defence doesn't really matter when you have bosses like clam dealing 750 dmg in a hit anyways. Summoner in calamity is amazing. There's lots if weapon variety and armor sets. The damage output is one of the best in the entire mod (I think I saw a video where someone killed exo mechs in less that 7 seconds as summoner).
