Legendary drop rate is around 25% on a platinum ranking. Nothing is working against you but RNG. There is no cooldown. Dude had a 30 run stretch without an exotic drop. Master drop rate might be around 33% (he only did 150 of those), but the fact they take longer negates the bump in percentage. Bringing more consistency to farming for exotics is the most brain dead solution I can think of.
