I'm in the same boat with the "Check Cell" message. Clean cell, salt level 3200 (via pool store test), no previous issues or concerns but my cell has only been in operation for just under a year. I calculated closer to 5,000 hrs of use for the cell (35k capacity, 24k pool and 210 days) but still well below the life expectancy of the cell.
Jandy recommends starting a 15K pool at 40% and going up if needed. Once you are the % you desire to lock it in press the “Select” arrow button. For a 25K-30K pool you should start the production at 60% and go up from there if needed. I am having a similar problem with my almost 7 year old PLC1400 - We reversed the 3 prong power cord and the code switched from 121 to 120. We added a tiny bit of extra salt (I had a little left over) to bump up my salt ppm numbers a bit - and I am planning to do a quick acid cleaning of the cell next.
