The problem with dental is that the standard options that are around $20 a month have a maximum yearly benefit of $1500. In just three years of self-insurance you can pretty much break even. The high options usually don't have that limit but cost around $50/mo. Insane when there are health plans for around $60 that cover the rest of your body.
