Now what he may have meant is that to physically fit the 2ZZ into the xB you must modify, or rebuil part of the chassis on one side. How he knows that, I am not sure. No one has come forward publicly to show an attempt at the swap.

It turns out that when they changed the scion Tc wheel pattern from 5x100 to 5x114.3 they also increased the hub center as well to 60.1mm. FWIW -- You don't mention whether you've changed anything associated with the engine. If you have, then it's a good idea to disconnect the battery negative, wait a minute or so, and then reconnect to force the ECU to relearn the engine behavior. Any changes (intake, etc) result in a relearn situation.
