I thought i would list all the repairs that have been done under warranty and see if anybody could provide some insight as to what could be next. First of all the car was using 2qts of oil every 1000 miles.

Search CarComplaints ...The first thing that you would want to do is locate the fuse for your CTS’s radiator fan and make sure that it hasn’t blown. If it is blown, replacing the fuse will only solve the problem for a very limited period of time. Unless the wiring issue is fixed, the fuse will blow again. The wiring harness itself can go bad.

Mine had the Performance option w/19 inch wheels, summer tires. Re: 2008 Cadillac CTS New Alt and new batter, losing power and not chargeing. It might help your diagnosis if you knew how the system works. The generator is a serviceable component. If there is a diagnosed failure of the generator it must be replaced as an assembly. The engine drive belt drives the generator.
