April 3, 2023. On Monday morning (April 17), the Board of County Commissioners enacted a fourteen-day county-wide burn ban. The burn ban is effective immediately and will expire on May 1, 2023 unless canceled sooner by the Board of County Commissioners. If more than 1/2 inch of rain is received before the ban expires, the ban is lifted.
