At first I found it too "thin" and "narrow" until I played it with other instruments and realized it was sitting in the mix perfectly. It shows again the importance of trying gears against other instruments in a band context.

Personally, weight isn't even something I consider when looking for a guitar. If it's 5 lbs or 11 lbs, I don't care, as long as it sounds and plays good.

A tube amp is a really poor substitute for a modeler if you want convenient consistent recording, tons of switching options, low volume, tons of versatility, etc.

My Vote MJM Sixties Vibe for "authentic" Univibe tones. The MJM is a direct clone. I have compared it to 2-3 different originals and it's just bang on! The FoxRox Aquavibe on the Captain Coconut really impressed me. So, I'm sure that the stand alone Aqua is the same.
