The Infernal Robes is one of the best clothing items in BG3 but requires you to kill Karlach. However, there is a way around killing Karlach irrevocably using our guide here. If you do, you will gain Infernal Robes, one of the strongest clothing items for the Sorcerer in Act 1. The reason Infernal Robes is so powerful is gaining Fire resistance.
One thing that confuses me a bit it the slew of seemingly random items.
