A check of the owners manual should point out that this is an overheat alarm and that just because the water pump is working does not mean the engine is cooling properly. A thermostat that is stuck shut will cause an overheat at idle. A bypass valve stuck shut will cause overheat at higher rpm.

My battery is an optimax that is only a year old, I purchased another agm battery from bass pro during the trip and had the same problems with running the battery down.It start quickly and work well. Then it begin to be a little erratic at idle, but still ok. It run very well above 2000 rpms, but if you stay between 1000 and 2000 for a while it begin to loose power and stall. I changed the IAC valve but the problem persist. Could it be the MAP or TPS.
