Litter-Robot 3 is equipped with infrared emitters and sensors located above the waste drawer that check if the drawer is full each time the globe returns to the Home position. Once a full waste drawer is detected, the unit will indicate it is full with a blue flashing light. I can still switch the Litter Robot on and off via the app but I can't do anything else. I changed the old DFI sensor in April 2020 to the newer version because the old IR one stopped working. The new sensor came as part of the Connect upgrade kit which I purchased.
