Posted June 7, 2011. The extractor is fine. The marks are the result of it being "punch formed" from a thick sheet of steel. Believe me, of all the problems you're likely to encounter with the GSG, the extractor ain't one of 'em. Just remember, the GSG demands highvel ammo to cycle those massive, twin recoil springs.
My GSG will not fire. The other day I completely stripped my GSG 1911 to do a thorough cleaning and lubing, including taking the firing pin assembly out of the slide. I sanded the slide grooves with fine sand paper to get the slide action smoother as suggested in several Youtube videos on 'tuning' this gun.Would it be cheaper to swap the barrel on an SD model, or swap the handguard and add a retractable stock on the pistol model? 4.) I had the GSG 5/522 conversion kit installed, which replaces the charging tube with a metal one that has the correct holes to allow the installation of mp5 handguards (like the Magpul one). I'm not sure if there's an easy way to install the magpul handguard on the stock GSG-16, unfortunately. Wish I could help!
