As long as your not towing all the time there is really no need for a diesel in my opinion. My 6.2 is faster 0-60 than my cummins was it just doesn't have the low end torque of the diesel. Maybe. Most 12.50 tires are designed for 8.5" width rims at minimum. 9-10" is recommended. Stock wheels are 8 inches wide. There aren't too many 12.50s that will fit 8" rims based on factory documentation. The Toyo R/T and M/Ts, for example, require an 8.5 minimum. 3. Quality of ride. Your braking will take a small hit too. Acceleration as well in the 6.2L. Diesel probably won't feel it. You still feel it with the 6.7L - the sheer added weight of the tire will affect any truck. 37’s side by side with 35’s are noticeably bigger. 37’s side by side an OEM tire are mammoth.

If you have a 3.31 axle, the only thing you can do to get it correct is set the tire size to 37" and deal with the CEL (P-1635 if memory serves). Or just buy a Hypertech and set it to 37" tires and be done. Depending on the year of the teuck, the Forscan code for 37” tires also works without using the axle code.
