Nov 23, 2022. #18. I spent some time at the rifle range with my CVA Optima LR and was pleasantly surprised with its' performance. I ended up shooting 2 White Hots with a Hornady SST 300 gr. bullet and it worked out better than I'd hoped. 1 1/8" groups at 100 yards. The best part was the trigger.

Dec 17, 2018 · The break open latching on the Wolf is located on the front of the trigger guard. It tends to snag on things causing it to open while hunting. The Optima is on the back of the guard and haven’t had any problems whatsoever. I now own an Accura MR Nitride. It may possibly be the best hunting muzzleloader ever produced. Did the the same when I got my CVA Accura MR. That CVA came with a solid ram rod. I use the CVA ram rod with a brush on one end and the long cleaning jag on the other end for cleaning the CVA.
